Dr Liu Thai-Ker

Architect-planner Dr Liu Thai-Ker studied architecture at the University of New South Wales (UNSW, Sydney), and city planning at Yale University. He later attended Stanford INSEAD Advanced Management Program, Paris, and was conferred Doctor of Science honoris causa by UNSW. Since 1992, he has been Director of RSP, undertaking many architectural, urban design, and planning projects in Singapore and Asia. Larger projects have included the re-planning of close to a dozen cities of 2-to-5 million people each in China, Taiwan, and the Middle East. Dr Liu previously held senior posts with Singapore’s Housing and Development Board and Urban Redevelopment Authority, and has been closely associated with the implementation of public housing in Singapore and the formulation of a vision for the future urban development of the city. Dr Liu serves as an Adjunct Professor to the National University of Singapore, and is active on the boards of governmental and arts organisations.
