Gerard Loozekoot is a partner/senior architect at UNStudio. He completed his architectural studies at the TU Delft in 1998. He worked for several Dutch offices before entering UNStudio in 2000. His interest in and knowledge of large-scale urban and infrastructure work developed with Dutch projects such as the city centre development Nieuwegein, A2 city ring’s Hertogenbosch, and the design of the highway stretch along N57. His aim is the implementation of design strategies like deep planning, with a focus on infrastructure and urban design projects. Recent architecture projects include the Hyundai S-project in Seoul and the Museum of Middle Eastern Modern Art, Dubai. His interest in the organisation of project processes and contracts in close collaboration with a variety of public and private clients has served to foster UNStudio’s network ambitions. Gerard has been an sssociate of UNStudio and a member of its management team since 2006. He has been a partner since 2008.
