“The impossible exists only until we find a way to make it possible”

“After twenty years of exploration, I have decided to share more of what I have done with the younger generation,” Mike Horn has said. “I’m just an explorer who wants to keep my playground clean.”

Mike Horn is recognised worldwide as one of the greatest modern day explorers. He began his journey by setting challenges for himself – swimming the rivers, sailing the oceans, surviving alone in different environments and in extreme weather conditions, confronting all elements of nature, and continually pushing himself to his physical and mental limits.

“The problem today is that we are loosing contact with nature, forgetting its beauty, and most importantly, its overwhelming power,” he has said. In 2008, he began his Pangaea (pan- + γαῖα ~ gaia), “‘earth, land’”) expedition, which aims to “cultivate respect for the environment and the protection of its resources for the sake of future generations.” Hear Mike discuss his Pangaea journey, and be inspired to redefine, rediscover, and make a difference for the world.
