A Story of the Image: Old & New Masters From Antwerp is a refreshing and ambitious exhibition, which explores the evolution and commercialisation of ‘the image’ through historical works of art as well as contemporary art.

This exhibition of 150 works features thirteen paintings by old Flemish masters, from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Antwerp (KMSKA), twenty-five prints from the Museum of Plantin-Moretus/Print room and 112 contemporary Flemish artworks from the Museum of Contemporary Art (MuHKA). Rare masterpieces by Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640) and Anthony Van Dyck (1599–1641) will be shown in Singapore for the first time. Works by top contemporary art moguls, such as Luc Tuymans, David Claerbout, Francis Alÿs, Marlene Dumas, and Berlinde De Bruyckere, will also add to a unique exhibition experience.
