To Make is to create, transform, build, change and to put parts together to make a whole.
To Believe is to have confidence in, to have an opinion of, and to accept as real.
Make*Believe is the coming together of the imagination and reality. Through different activities, mediums and platforms, children are encouraged to explore and experience concepts and make new discoveries. Make*Believe will engage children’s imagination and encourage design thinking, in exploring math, science, history and visual arts concepts through the lens of architecture and design. We empower children with their new experiences and knowledge to make great beliefs in our worlds.
In Make*Believe, childhood magic comes alive.
Make*Believe celebrates our inaugural program at the Singapore Science Center using the theme of ‘Common Spaces’, the theme for ArchiFest 2011. The activities are designed especially with the preschoolers (ages 18 months to 6 years old) in mind. Children can create their own playground using larger than life foam structures; examine the logic between weight and length and many more fun and engaging activities to start their little minds thinking of the structure and systems that are in their common spaces.
