Future Tropical Living Today, Book Launch Oct 6 | Exhibition Oct 7-31

In conjunction with Archifest 2011, award winning international architecture urbanism design practice Broadway Malyan are proud to present a selection of their latest sustainable residential projects that range from the macroscale of urban regeneration to the microscale of the first zero carbon house in Asia - The Idea House.   The exhibition, entitled  Future Tropical Living Today  will take place at the Marina Bay City Gallery, (mezzanine level) from October 1st to October 31st, 2011.

About the Idea House:

The Sime Darby Idea House is the first carbon zero residence in Southeast Asia and forms an integral part of the exhibition. Conceived as a test bed for new sustainable ideas and processes, it has also involved the collaboration of some of the world's leading technology and solution providers from the fields of architecture, engineering, landscape design, construction and Information Technology, as well as from an advanced supply chain.

About the book:

Coinciding with the exhibition is the release of the book:  Idea House: Future Tropical Living Today.  The book documents the process of design required to create a carbon neutral development from inception to completion and records in graphic and photographic detail the results of a sustainable design collaboration to deliver a sustainable product in the form of a house that reduces consumption, generates energy, and is respectful of local socio-cultural practices.
